Celebrating a Century of Impact: The 100th Jubilee in Photos
On November 8, 2024, the NAACP Media Area Branch gathered at the Springfield Country Club for a night of reflection, recognition, and renewal of our commitment to civil rights. Our 100th Jubilee Celebration was a momentous occasion, honoring a century of advocacy and progress while looking ahead to the future.
The evening featured a powerful keynote address by Pennsylvania State Senator Vincent Hughes, whose words inspired us to continue pushing forward in the fight for justice. Attendees enjoyed an elegant dinner, live entertainment, and the excitement of a silent auction—all set against a backdrop of community and shared purpose.
A highlight of the night was the Foot Soldier of Justice Awards, presented to organizations that have championed social justice and empowerment, including:
- League of Women Voters
- Media Fellowship House
- Nile Swim Club
- Honeycomb Union American Methodist Episcopal Church
- Chester (PA) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
- UDTJ
These honorees embody the spirit of service and advocacy that has been at the heart of the NAACP for 100 years.
As we reflect on this extraordinary evening, we celebrate the unity, resilience, and unwavering commitment of our members, supporters, and allies. This gallery captures the joy, inspiration, and historic significance of the 100th Jubilee—memories that will fuel our continued fight for equality and justice.
