The Delaware County Youth Voter Initiative is a collaborative partnership dedicated to encouraging civic engagement and voter participation among young people throughout Delaware County. Coalition partners include the NAACP Media Area Branch, the League of Women Voters of Delaware County (including both the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County and the League of Women Voters of Radnor Township), PA Youth Vote, the NAACP Chester Branch, and the Delaware County Bureau of Elections.
Endorsed by America250PA Delco, the initiative brings together community organizations, educators, and volunteers to provide graduating high school seniors with nonpartisan voter education materials and resources designed to help them become informed and engaged participants in our democracy.
Throughout May and June 2026, volunteers gathered at multiple community events and packet assembly sessions to prepare voter engagement packets for distribution to students across Delaware County. Through the collective efforts of coalition partners and dedicated volunteers, nearly 4,000 packets were assembled and distributed to 10 of Delaware County’s 15 public high schools.
This ambitious undertaking was made possible through the support of dozens of volunteers from participating organizations and the broader community. The Havertown-Area Community Action Network (H-CAN) provided tremendous people power and logistical support, helping ensure packets were assembled, organized, and delivered on schedule.
The Delaware County Youth Voter Initiative demonstrates what is possible when organizations work together toward a common goal. By equipping young people with the information they need to participate in the democratic process, the coalition is helping build a more informed, engaged, and empowered generation of voters.
